Navi Mumbai airport to be ready by March-end 2025 : Civil aviation minister Scindia

IndiaTimes Sunday, 14 January 2024
Jyotiraditya Scindia announced that the Navi Mumbai airport is anticipated to be commercially operational by March 31, 2025. This statement follows the minister's previous declaration in Nagpur, where he had mentioned that the airport would be ready for operation by the end of December. After visiting the construction site on Saturday, he stated that March's end is a realistic projection with a surprise in its cache if it (the airport) is completed before time. The infrastructure constraints held back Mumbai's airports from experiencing the double-digit growth in domestic passenger traffic observed in other Indian airports between 2015 and 2018.
