Ram temple event in full accord with Hindu rituals, say 2 seers

Denouncing claims about their opposition to the ‘pran pratishtha’ ceremony at the Lord Ram temple in Ayodhya, Shankaracharyas of Kanchi and Sringeri on Sunday asserted their full support to the January 22 event to be led by PM Narendra Modi. Shankaracharya of Sringeri Sharada Peetham Mahasamsthanam Dakshinamnaya also extended support and said the ceremony was in full consonance with Hindu rituals, and Modi, as a representative of the people of the country, had every right to perform the rituals as guided by priests.
