Union Home Minister Amit Shah's elder sister, Rajeshwariben Shah, passed away in Mumbai after undergoing treatment for a period of illness. Shah, who represents Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency, canceled his engagements in Gujarat to be with his family. Rajeshwariben was in her mid-60s, and her last rites were performed at Thaltej crematorium with a considerable presence of supporters and well-wishers. The incident occurred on Monday, following Shah's presence in Ahmedabad for Makar Sankranti celebrations.
