The Bombay High Court has directed the removal of the 150-year-old Parochial House on Malvani church land in Mumbai to widen the congested Marve road. The BMC will pay Rs 4.3 crore in compensation to the petitioners. The Mumbai Heritage Conservation Committee stated that the structure has no significant heritage value and did not object to its removal. According to BMC, the 1872 built Parochial House or Fatherβs Bungalow is the only structure remaining to be demolished for road widening from the fire station to T junction.
