Teachers demoted for pursuing higher education without permission

Gujarat High Court comes to the aid of three primary teachers who faced demotion after pursuing higher education to obtain graduate and postgraduate degrees. In a recent development, Justice Nikhil Kariel's bench ordered that the status quo be maintained, allowing Magan Dodiya, Savji Parmar, and Haresh Rajyaguru to continue serving as head teachers until further notice. The court has issued a notice to the concerned authorities and scheduled a further hearing for Wednesday. Dodiya, Parmar, and Rajyaguru have been dedicatedly serving in the municipal board's schools in Bhavnagar city since the 1980s and 1990s.
