Simultaneous attacks by militants occurred at multiple security outposts in Manipur's Moreh township bordering Myanmar on Wednesday. The assault, involving rocket-propelled grenades and continuous gunfire, resulted in the death of two police commandos and left three others wounded. The incident unfolded against the backdrop of several houses engulfed in flames in Tengnoupal district, the epicenter of violence in Manipur since the end of the previous year. Two fire engines from neighbouring Myanmar crossed the border and doused the flames engulfing houses at Kanan Veng in Moreh Ward 3 and another cluster of homes near Moreh Hospital, sources said.
