Death blow to scholarship: Congress on action against CPR

IndiaTimes Wednesday, 17 January 2024
Congress on Wednesday slammed government's decision to cancel Centre for Policy Research's FCRA licence and said such action will serve as a "death blow to India's rich tradition of scholarship and rigorous thought". The chairman of All India Professionals' Congress, Praveen Chakravarty said it was a "shame" that the government of India should be "so timid to feel bullied by a group of scholars and their research", referring to the cancellation of CPR's FCRA licence as an extraordinarily petty act of cowardice.
