World's tallest Ambedkar statue to be unveiled on January 19 in Vijayawada

The world's tallest Ambedkar statue, named the "Statue of Social Justice," is set to be unveiled in Vijayawada on January 19. Standing at 206ft, with the statue itself being 125ft on an 81ft podium, it will rank among the world's top 50 tallest statues. The tallest statue globally is Sardar Patel's at 790ft. The second tallest Dr. B.R. Ambedkar statue is currently in Telangana. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy emphasized Ambedkar's transformative impact on the lives of Dalits, backward classes, and women. The statue, crafted from 400 tonnes of steel, aims to propagate Ambedkar's spirit globally. The chief minister encouraged everyone to attend the historic unveiling ceremony.
