Ram Temple consecration: Traders in Gujarat to give employees one-day salary as bonus

In anticipation of the Ram Temple consecration ceremony on January 22, several traders in Ahmedabad have initiated a gesture of goodwill by providing their employees with a 'token bonus' equivalent to one day's salary. Sanjeev Chhajer, a former chairman of JITO Ahmedabad, started the trend, offering a bonus to his employees, and approximately 100 traders have since embraced the idea, with more expected to join before the ceremony. The bonuses aim to enable employees to celebrate the occasion. Additionally, some businesses, like a tour and travel company, are opting for alternative expressions of generosity, such as distributing sweets and gifts to residents of old-age homes and orphanages. Sweet shop owners are also participating by offering discounts on sweets during the celebration.
