Friday, 19 January 2024 Former Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai stated on Friday that they will urge the current Congress government to implement an increase in quotas for the Scheduled Tribes. Urdu proficiency is now mandatory for Anganwadi teacher applicants in Mudigere and Chikkamagaluru districts, as per a notification by Karnataka's Congress government.
