Ayodhya reconstruction an occasion to move on, end the bitterness: Bhagwat
Sunday, 21 January 2024 RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, during the consecration ceremony in Ayodhya, emphasized the importance of ending the bitterness and completely resolving the dispute over the reconstruction of Ayodhya. He highlighted that the reconstruction of the Ram Temple signifies the reawakening of national pride and the acceptance of his character by modern Bharatiya society. He also said that the bitterness should end.
The Monsoon has created havoc across India, with Mumbai recording extremely heavy rainfall, the water level of the Saryu river rising in Ayodhya, an orange alert issued for Karnataka, and Assam grappling with floods again. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a red alert for several states, including Karnataka, Goa, Arunachal Pradesh and Maharashtra. Additionally, an orange alert has been issued for Assam and Meghalaya.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Saturday said by trouncing the BJP in Ayodhya, the INDIA bloc has defeated the Ram temple movement once led by L K Advani, and expressed confidence that the saffron party will meet the same fate in Gujarat in the next election. He said the Congress has been challenged and threatened by the BJP, but it will defeat the saffron party and Narendra Modi in Gujarat just the way it was defeated in Ayodhya. Gandhi was addressing party workers days after the Congress and BJP clashed outside the Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) office when saffron party workers went there to protest against his (Gandhi's) remarks on Hindus.
