Bengaluru-based Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Roorkee-based CSIR-CBRI, and Optica have contributed to the Surya Tilak mechanism at Ram Mandir. The mechanism ensures that the Sun rays fall on Lord Ram's Idol's forehead for 6 minutes at noon on Ram Navami. CBRI-Roorkee experts contributed to the temple construction, while IIA provided technical support and Optica manufactured lenses and brass tubes.
