NMC plans to control ghost faculty, boost infrastructure in medical colleges with new regulations

The National Medical Council (NMC) has issued new norms to improve the quality of medical education. Private and government medical institutions failing to meet the requirements will face a monetary penalty of Rs 1 crore. Senior faculty members are required to have at least 75% attendance and cannot engage in private practice during college hours.
