Defence ministry inks Rs 1,070-crore deal for 14 Fast Patrol Vessels

The defence ministry signs Rs 1,070-crore deal with Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd (MDL) for acquisition of 14 Fast Patrol Vessels (FPVs) for the Indian Coast Guard (ICG). The FPVs, equipped with advanced features and AI capability, will enhance fisheries protection, surveillance, search and rescue operations, marine pollution response, and anti-piracy operations.
