Republic Day 2024: 1,132 police personnel awarded gallantry and service medals
Thursday, 25 January 2024 On the eve of 75th Republic Day, more than 1,000 police personnel have been honored with various gallantry and service medals, as per a government statement released on Thursday. This commendation includes 277 gallantry medals. Following a recent restructuring of medals, a total of 1,132 individuals from the police, fire service, home guard, civil defense, and correctional service have received gallantry and service medals for the Republic Day 2024, according to the Union home ministry statement.
