Friday, 26 January 2024
A door-to-door screening drive covering approximately 44 lakh people in Haryana under the Nirogi Haryana scheme revealed key health issues. Malnourishment and low birth weight were prevalent among children, while anaemia, tuberculosis, diabetes, and hypertension affected adults. Over 2.3 crore tests since 2022 identified health concerns, including 887 cancer cases and 774 previously undetected neurological strokes. The state plans to address these issues with targeted interventions, including health packages and dietary improvements in mid-day meals for children.
