Giriraj Singh urges panchayats to become ‘revenue sufficient’

During Republic Day celebrations at Kartavya Path, where over 400 participants from panchayati raj institutions nationwide, including many women 'sarpanches,' attended as special guests, the Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Giriraj Singh, advocated for transforming panchayats into entities that are "revenue-sufficient." He urged the representatives to not just depend on MGNREGS funds and develop revenue models to become self-reliant.
