Bihar assembly likely to get new speaker on February 12

IndiaTimes Monday, 29 January 2024
The Bihar assembly is expected to have a new speaker on Feb 12, as the Nitish Kumar government seeks to reschedule the budget session from Feb 12-29. BJP's Nand Kishore Yadav submitted a "no-confidence proposal" against the current speaker, Awadh Bihari Chaudhary of RJD, with the Nitish-led alliance having enough support to replace him.
