Canadian Cineplex halted showings of Malayalam film 'Malaikottai Vaaliban' due to uncontrollable circumstances. York Regional Police investigated 'drive-by shootings at movie theaters' in Richmond Hill, Vaughan, Scarborough, and Brampton. Indian film screenings were disrupted after substances were leaked into theaters during showings of Hindi films in Toronto, Vaughan, and Brampton.
