Kamakhya corridor will be Northeast tourism gateway: PM Modi

PM Narendra Modi declared on Sunday that Shakti Peeth Kamakhya, the ancient hilltop shrine overlooking the Brahmaputra in Guwahati, will serve as the gateway to tourism in the Northeast. The announcement came during the launch of projects worth Rs 11,600 crore in Assam. Modi highlighted the success of the Kashi corridor, with approximately 8.5 crore devotees visiting within a year of its completion.
