Amit Shah announces scraping of Free Movement Regime between India and Myanmar

Amit Shah on Thursday announced that the Free Movement Regime (FMR) between India and Myanmar will be scrapped. Shah also added, "It is Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji's resolve to secure our borders." The home minister on Tuesday had announced that India will fence the entire 1,643-km-long India-Myanmar border.
