Days after surrender on Supreme Court orders, Bilkis Bano case convict out on 5-day parole
Friday, 9 February 2024 One of the convicts in the Bilkis Bano case was granted five-days parole, on Friday, by the Gujarat High Court. Just days after surrendering before Supreme Court the convict was given parole due to the death of his father-in-law, said a police official. Pradip Modhiya, the convict has been released from Godhra district jail on parole. Last month, the Supreme court quashed the remission of sentence of all 11 convicts in the 2002 Bilkis Bano gangrape case and murder of her seven relatives.
