Gupteswar forest declared as biodiversity heritage site
Monday, 12 February 2024 Gupteswar forest situated in the Dhondrakhol reserve forest within the Jeypore forest of Koraput district has been declared as the fourth biodiversity heritage site (BHS) of Odisha. State govt has issued notification regarding this, said official sources on Monday. The site spread over 350 hectares of demarcated area has the famous Gupteswar Shiva shrine.
On May 20, votes from 49 constituencies spread across six states and two Union territories will determine the fate of 695 candidates, including a number of well-known ministers and MPs. Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Ladakh, Maharashtra, Bihar, and Jammu & Kashmir will vote.
