Mumbai Customs seize gold worth Rs 1.66 cr over 4 days at international airport
Monday, 4 March 2024 Authorities found the gold concealed in places such as the aircraft seat, body cavities of passengers, washroom, butter packets, handkerchiefs and other clothes of passengers
This new seizure follows an earlier operation from March 10-12, when Mumbai Customs confiscated over 4.22 kg of gold, as well as mobile phones and laptops Mid-Day
The gold was discovered in various hiding spots including, concealed clothes, on the body of the passengers, and corner piping of a check-in bag Mid-Day
According to a statement issued by Mumbai Customs Zone-III on its official `X` (previously Twitter) feed, the seizures occurred between March 6-7. Mid-Day
