Punjab govt authorizes health department, excise commissionerate, and police officers to jointly sample and inspect liquor for quality testing. Excise department seizes Rs 43 lakh worth of illegally transported liquor in Kalyan near Subhash chowk, arrests Sainath Ramgirwar and Amardeep Fuljhele. Delhi High Court hears pleas challenging Delhi excise policy, with intervention sought by Lieutenant governor V K Saxena's office.
