Watch out! Delhi takes top spot in car thefts among six metros

Delhi has the highest car theft rate in India. Bhajanpura and Uttam Nagar are the most prone areas, followed by Shahdara, Patparganj, and Badarpur. Chennai and Bengaluru rank second and third respectively. Vehicle thefts in Delhi doubled between 2022 and 2023. Maruti Suzuki models are the most frequently stolen cars in Delhi.
