Army inducts first lot of desi anti-drone systems for China border deployment

The Indian Army has introduced seven new indigenous integrated drone detection and interdiction systems (IDD&IS) along the northern borders with China. These systems can jam hostile drones and use lasers to eliminate them, with a detection range of 5 to 8 km. Additionally, DRDO is developing more potent directed energy weapon systems like high-energy lasers and high-powered microwaves for enhanced security measures.
