Thursday, 21 March 2024 Hyderabad-based Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Ltd (MEIL), the biggest electoral bond donor to BJP and BRS, and second largest donor to Congress, started small in 1989. MEIL and its group company, Western UP Power Transmission Co. Ltd (WUPTL), together gave Rs 664 crore to BJP. WUPTL gave Rs 110 crore to Congress. MEIL gave Rs 195 crore to BRS. It’s also the second largest donor to TDP (Rs 28 crore) and YSRCP (Rs 37 crore).
