Indian Navy brings 35 captured Somali pirates for trial in India
Indian Navy revealed on Saturday that they have safely transported 35 Somali pirates to Mumbai on board the warship INS Kolkata. This comes following the successful operation by Indian forces to free a hijacked bulk carrier and rescue multiple hostages. The daring rescue involved marine commandos being para-dropped from a C-17 aircraft and engaging in gunfire to secure the release of the hijacked merchant vessel Ruen and its 17 crew members on the high seas.
