Bengaluru has reported its first case of Human MetaPneumoVirus (HMPV) in an eight-month-old baby, raising significant health concerns. The child, who has no travel history, was diagnosed with this rare respiratory virus, typically affecting children under the age of 11. While the test was conducted by a private hospital, the Karnataka Health Department is closely investigating the case and its potential for local spread.
