Security guard dies in hit-n-run at sea link, woman driver tracked down and arrested

A security guard, deployed at a construction site of the Bandra-Versova Sea Link, died on Friday after a speeding car hit him. According to a witness, the impact was so severe that Ramesh Gutukade, 45, was thrown nearly 50 metres away. Bandra police tracked down and arrested the accused driver, Worli resident Neelam Shorewala,65, a few hours after she fled the spot near Nityanand Nagar. Police have towed the car to the police station.
