UK court allows sale of fugitive diamond merchant Nirav Modi's luxury London flat
Thursday, 28 March 2024 A London high court ruled on Wednesday that a luxury apartment linked to Nirav Modi, held in a trust, can be sold for no less than GBP 5.25 million. Judge Master James Brightwell, overseeing the remote hearing attended by the fugitive diamond merchant from Thameside prison, accepted the Enforcement Directorate's request to secure the proceeds from the sale in an account post-settlement of trust liabilities.
A man has appeared in court charged with two counts of murder after the discovery of human remains in suitcases in Bristol, and, at a flat in west London. 34-year-old Yostin Andres Mosquera appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates Court earlier today. Police have named the two victims as 62-year-old Albert Alfonso and 71 year old Paul Longworth who lived together at a flat in Shepherds Bush. The suspect had been staying with them.
