Maldives President says second batch of Indian troops to leave within April

Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu on Wednesday said that Indian military troops stationed at the second aviation platform would be withdrawn "within the current month," with the entire process expected to conclude by May 10, according to a media report. In March, the first batch of approximately 25 Indian military personnel who were stationed in the Maldives to operate a helicopter gifted by India left the island nation. The personnel handed over the operations to an Indian civilian crew, adhering to the agreed-upon deadline of March 10.
