During an election rally in Pilibhit on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused the Congress and the Samajwadi Party of opposing the Citizenship Amendment Act, attributing it to what he termed as the politics of appeasement. He also criticized the INDIA block for not attending the Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya earlier this year, alleging disrespect towards Lord Ram.
