Andhra-born pilot set to be first Indian to fly to space as tourist
Friday, 12 April 2024 Gopi Thotakura, the trailblazing Indian space tourist, ventures with Blue Origin's New Shephard-25 mission. Co-founding Preserve Life Corp, he champions holistic wellness and applied health worldwide. Born in Vijayawada, Gopi, an entrepreneur and a pilot, will make a journey beyond the Earth's atmosphere with five other candidates. The launch date of the space flight will be announced soon.
Blue Origin’s New Glenn rocket has officially launched, marking a pivotal moment in Jeff Bezos' ongoing rivalry with SpaceX and setting the stage for future space exploration. The rocket, launched from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, successfully carried the experimental Blue Ring Pathfinder technology into orbit.
