EC's novel initiative to increase voter turnout in UP: Polling stations in housing societies

The Election Commission of India has established over 200 polling stations in housing societies in urban areas of Uttar Pradesh to boost voter turnout in the pivotal state. Chief Electoral Officer Navdeep Rinwa, in an interaction with PTI, highlighted the focus on urban regions with historically low voter participation. He expressed optimism that Uttar Pradesh will lead in voting percentage.
