Zambia Stands Firm: US Forces Unwelcome, Calls for Troop Withdrawal

Stephen Kampyongo, a prominent member of Zambia's National Assembly, has sparked controversy by questioning the necessity of US military deployment in the country. His remarks come amidst growing regional unease over the extended presence of US Africa Command (AFRICOM) personnel in Zambia. In an exclusive interview with RT, Kampyongo criticised the lack of clarity regarding AFRICOM's objectives in Zambia, echoing concerns shared not only within Zambia but also among its southern African neighbours, particularly Zimbabwe. #Zambia #StephenKampyongo #USMilitary #AFRICOM #MilitaryPresence #RegionalConcerns #ZambianParliament #Sovereignty #DiplomaticTensions #SecurityCooperation #Zimbabwe #SADC #USInfluence #MilitaryRelations #ZambianPolitics ~HT.178~PR.152~ED.103~GR.124~

India Calls Killings In Rafah ‘Heartbreaking’, Reaffirms Palestinian Statehood Amid European Moves

India on Thursday reaffirmed its long-standing position on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict following the recent recognition of Palestine by Ireland, Norway, and Spain. Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal highlighted India's historical support for Palestinian statehood and a two-state solution. When asked about the coordinated decision by Spain, Ireland, and Norway to formally recognise Palestine, Jaiswal, at a weekly press briefing, said, “As you are aware, India was one of the first countries to recognise the state of Palestine in the late 1980s, and we have long supported a two-state solution which entails the establishment of a sovereign, viable, and independent state of Palestine within recognised and mutually agreed borders, living side by side with Israel in peace.” #IndiaOnRafah #HeartbreakingKillings #RafahIncident #PalestinianStatehood #MEAStatement #IndiaSupportsPalestine #EuropeanMoves #MiddleEastConflict #DiplomaticResponse #HumanRights #InternationalAffairs #PeaceInMiddleEast #GlobalSolidarity #RafahTragedy #PalestineIsraelConflict ~HT.99~PR.152~ED.155~
