Over 64% cast votes in Maoist-hit Bastar, polling peaceful

More than 64% of the 14,72,207 lakh voters exercised their franchise by 5 pm in the Naxal-hit Bastar Lok Sabha constituency in Chhattisgarh during the first phase of general elections. The voter turnout in Bastar seat in the 2019 parliamentary elections was 66.04%. Bastar constituency has 14,72,207 eligible voters, with 7,71,679 women outnumbering 7,00,476 men, and 52 transgenders.
