APMC constructing a mall and five-star hotel is a scam: SC

Most Gujaratis strive for commercial success, but Agriculture Produce Marketing Committee of Surat took it a step farther by building a mall and a five-star hotel on land acquired by the Gujarat government in the 1960s for the benefit of farmers. SC bench of Chandrachud and J B Pardiwala castigated Surat APMC for frittering away land meant for welfare of farmers.
