Hearing on plea to bar PM Modi from polls adjourned till next week
Delhi HC will take up next week a plea for a direction to Election Commission to disqualify PM Narendra Modi from contesting elections for six years, alleging he had violated the poll code by seeking votes in the name of gods and religion. Justice Sachin Datta could not hear the plea Friday since he was presiding over the UAPA tribunal and adjourned the matter, which is now likely to be taken up on April 29.
