Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah thanks Supreme Court for ordering release of drought relief assistance

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah expressed gratitude to the Supreme Court on Friday for directing the disbursement of more than Rs 34 lakh in drought relief aid from the Union government for the 2023 Karnataka drought. He mentioned that it may have been the initial instance in India's history when a state had to resort to the Supreme Court to ensure its rights.
