Average minimum temperature in April in east and northeast India highest since 1901: IMD

The average minimum temperature in East and Northeast India reached a record high of 22 degrees Celsius, IMD said. This was the highest temperature recorded since 1901. According to IMD, South Peninsular India's average maximum temperature in April was 31 degrees Celsius, which was the second-highest since 1901. extended heat wave in April over the eastern and southern peninsula of India since there were no thunderstorms and the anticyclone remained strong, the IMD continued.
