Let NIA probe CM Kejriwal: LG Saxena to MHA; AAP calls it a plot
Tuesday, 7 May 2024 Delhi lieutenant governor V K Saxena has sought an NIA probe into a complaint against the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for allegedly receiving political funding from the banned terrorist organisation 'Sikhs for Justice'. Reacting to the development, Delhi minister and AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj said that the 'LG is an agent of BJP'.
The Centre has approved the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) request to prosecute former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and ex-deputy CM Manish Sisodia under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) in the excise policy case. This decision follows Delhi Lt Governor V K Saxena’s recommendation. Both leaders, granted bail earlier, face allegations of irregularities in the 2021-22 excise policy.
