BJP leader Maneka Gandhi hinted that her son Varun Gandhi's occasional critiques of the government might have influenced the decision to deny him a Lok Sabha ticket from Pilibhit. Nevertheless, she remains assured of Varun's capabilities to shine independently, even without the ticket. Maneka mentioned Varun's willingness to campaign for her in Sultanpur, yet a final decision on this matter is still pending.
