Registration of will not mandatory in UP: HC

In a recent ruling, the Allahabad High Court declared that registration of wills is not mandatory in Uttar Pradesh, overturning a 2004 state government mandate. The court clarified that unregistered wills, both pre and post the UP Amendment Act, 2004, are valid.
