The United Nations has initiated an inquiry into an unattributed attack on a UN vehicle in Rafah on Monday, marking the first instance of a UN international staff member being killed in Gaza since Oct 7. According to a spokesperson for the UN, the victim identified as retired Indian Army officer Waibhav Anil Kale, was employed with the UN Department of Safety and Security.
