Fundamental right to be informed of grounds of arrest: Supreme Court

Following SC's ruling that NewsClick founder and editor-in-chief Prabir Purkayastha's arrest and remand were illegal, Patiala House Court ordered his release on bail bonds worth Rs 1 lakh, with three conditions: he shall not contact witnesses or approvers in the case, he shall not discuss the merits of the case, and he shall not travel abroad without the court's permission.
