'Bangladeshi pirates' hack forest guard to death in Sundarbans
A 59-year-old forest guard, Amalendu Halder, was hacked to death in Sundarbans Tiger Reserve by Bangladeshi pirates. The incident underscores acute staff shortage, with only 36 guards compared to the sanctioned 110. Amalendu Halder was from Raidighi and posted at Netidhopani camp.
