Lok Sabha elections: Absolute no. of votes down in 88 seats from 5 years ago

Most phases so far have seen lower turnouts than in 2019, though the gap has varied from phase to phase and individual states have witnessed both higher and lower turnouts than five years ago. The comparison is with votes cast via EVMs last time since data for postal votes is not available for 2024 so far.
