Four tourists dead, four hurt in Anantnag accident
Saturday, 25 May 2024 A car carrying tourists from Punjab's Moga district met with an accident in south Kashmir's Anantnag district, resulting in the death of four tourists and injuring four others, including the driver.
Heavy snowfall and landslides have disrupted traffic across Jammu and Kashmir, leading to the closure of the Srinagar-Jammu and Srinagar-Ladakh highways. Several districts, including Rajouri, Doda, and Anantnag, are covered in thick snow. Authorities have issued an avalanche alert in Himachal’s Lahaul-Spiti region. While daily life is affected, farmers have welcomed the fresh snowfall. Weather conditions are expected to improve by the afternoon.
